That's so true! Yeah, characters and manga, anywhere!

7 Feb

This video describes how characters are at hand to anyone in Japan.
It has nothing to do with whether one likes it or not.
Signs, posters, promotion flags, weather forecast, TV commercial, daily goods, or anything around our life send us messages with characters no matter how old we are! That’s so true. Some of them are really cure (kawaii) but, sometimes it’s just too much. However, character business market is huge, and such famous & successful characters as Hello Kitty, Rilakkuma, and Domo-kun, any character has mega hit possibilities in the future!? I’m curious how this reflects to first-time visiters to Japan. 😛

I miss the cute characters especially on the train! There was one sign I loved… it was of three little tanuki, lying on the floor and across the trains on the seats; tired, and drunk.
It was a very clear message that you should behave properly on the train, but without seeming too strict. 🙂

Thanks for your messages lately! I need to start updating my blog more often… >.<

Ahahaha, you’ve got good memory. 🙂
But you’re right, those ads do not look too strict, when the message is delivered with characters, mascots, or anime.
